I'm applying for this job where I need to receive a copy of my degree from my college and drop it off at the Secretary of State's site in CA to receive it apostilled, then I need to mail it to the employer. The problem is that I currently live in another country and I really don't want to fly to my university just for that. Resolved Question: Luck and destiny..are they real? If so, do I lack both?

I don't usually believe in luck and destiny, rather I used to believe in difficult work and what I do for myself Im responsible for it. I've tried working difficult, working 7 days straight, I do as much as possible for my family, I try to spend as less as possible on things I can manage without, I have a wonderful girlfriend but I feel Im not right for her and that she doesn't deserve me, Im starting to feel Im a burden on this earth and on everyone close to me. Im starting to feel that maybe if I was gone, there problems would be solved. I work for a courier company, my van breaks down every now and then and whatever difficult earned money I make, I work from 5 in the morning till 8 at night, monday thru saturday and sunday I work at a liquor store, it just seems that every my money slips outta my hand either on bills, home expenses, my van breaking down, Im not in a condition to afford a new one. My girlfriend wants me to marry her by the end of this year, I try saving every paycheck, I want to keep, just doesn't seem to happen. Something unexpected always comes up. It seems like everyday life figures out a way to screw me or is slipping out of my hands. Im at my wits, I don't sob, but I know my heart does. I try to support everybody and keep things calm, I desire things my friends have but I know I cant...I still suck it in and keep on moving, but still to my avail, Im left empty handed. If I out of the blue try to do something good for myself, lets say buy a pair of shoes or take a local trip out of town, the next week some unfortunate event happens and I regret having paying a little attention to myself or doing something good for myself for once. I don't know what to do. Im starting to have thoughts of depression and suicide. I feel that I've seen enough, I know I haven't but that's just how I feel. I feel as if one day, I go to snooze, and I don't want to wake up the next morning. I make every my payments on time, everything on time, but I feel that it is every just going to waste. I don't know whether Im looking for some motivating words to keep on moving or if I need some advice or maybe hearing someone else's pain will shorten mine. I don't know. Im starting to feel that I should just tell my girlfriend of 6 years whom i adore more than myself that she should just leave me for someone better out there. Im not the one for her. Will things ever change for good?? I've been feeling like this for the last 7-8 years that life is just slipping away from me. I used to go to UC Davis for mechanical engineering, had to tug out due to unfortunate circumstances. Family bought a business, I tried my best to run it, that doomed. Now I just kill myself working day and night and I know what I do out there is difficult, tough, but still I feel every my difficult work is going to waste. What do I do? Im good with computers, and good at tuition with kids, I've tried everything, every time I earn a little extra money on the side, a major expense related to my car or home comes up and I end up paying more than what little money I made on the side. If this isn't my unfortunate luck or destiny..then what is it? Once again, Im really lost and looking for a way out or something..I don't know what Im searching for, every I know is Im lost somewhere..

Resolved Question: Is there a way to find out if a logistics company is phony?

A company sent me an email stating that they received my CV (resume). It seemed a little shady to me because they stated that packages would arrive to my home (jewelry, electronics etc...)I would boat them overseas. Almost sounds like a Nigerian scam. I went online to look if company was legit. Even though they have a website, it still feels shady. The company is based out of India. Why have items arrive out of my home when they can set up a tiny office? I will attach most of the letter. Some misspellings in the letter; another red flag, but since American English is not their native writing style, as is the queen's English, should I overlook it? Maybe I should check with the FBI? Hi. It's always been my dream to receive accepted into an awesome college, but lately I've been doubting whether or not I'll make it in. I'm Indian, so I'm not sure if that i good for my chances. I AM APPLYING EARLY DECISION. Academics: Valedictorian (both highschool and middle school) of class of 300 GPA-4.0 unweighted, 5.0 weighted SAT score- 2330 I pretty much took the hardest clases at the earliest grades possible. I think academics is my most appealing aspect of the application. I have 9 AP classes over my high school career. I received 5s on most of my ap exams Extra Curriculars: Karate- I am a black belt and have been actively participating in practices and public demonstrations for 11 years. I spend 2 hours a week practicing karate. Tennis- I have made my way up to the first spot on the junior varsity team and have been practicing privately with a coach and my dad for 5 years. I spend two hours a week during off season and fifteen hours a week during the spring season practicing tennis. I will definately play varsity next year as a senior. Resolved Question: Are two spaces after a period wrong?

I have Introduction to business course in school, and my teacher says I have to put two spaces after a period. Our textbooks are from 1989, and I don't tink I've ever seen two spaces after periods. My parents say it was for typewriters, and now that we have computers, it's not necassary. When I (politely) told my teacher what they thought, she disagreed. I'm sleepy of doing everyting in "Courier New" and I don't know why schools can't just let the past go, and start using modern technology. I'm Just looking for some solid validity, any websites, or articles? Thanks.

In and around the Frederick area, up to a certain distance. For a flat rate no "charge by mile" handling packages big and tiny and tiny freight. Doing mainly same day delivery or next day. Only a handful of employees and vehicles, so no huge overhead to cover besides fuel costs Looking more for business and commercial rather than residential customers I believe its a great alternative to the big shippers, cheaper first of every, and quicker. Resolved Question: Laptop said "We've got a bad one, Jim" and then restarted; also BSOD?

I just got a toshiba laptop in December. Over the past couple weeks I've had the BSOD happen quite a few times. The only way for me to receive back on is to reboot in Safe Mode then click "Restart" from the Start menu. Yesterday I did a "system restore" from the start menu & it seemed to help. (Not very computer savvy, so not sure if this actually means anything) The only thing I remember from the BSOD is that it says something about a accident dump. But then just now, the STRANGEST thing happened! I was online minding my possess business when my entire computer screen turned a light blue color and had a message in white writing saying something like "We've got a bad one, Jim" and there was a few sentences underneath it, before I could read it my computer restarted itself. (restarted perfectly though, no BSOD) The Jim message was very different from the BSOD; it was more of a light blue and the font was something like Arial (versus the BSOD's royal blue screen & how the font looks like Courier New or something). Help! I can't find the Jim message ANYWHERE on Google!! It wasn't a pop up message, it was my entire screen- I KNOW it was a message from my computer.

Elect to have witholding taken out of your check. Issued a 1099. Signed a contract that you "possess" the route and can hire an employee to work for you but limited as to how often. Required to obtain EIN from IRS as part of the contract. Cancelled contract and out of work after company loses their possess contract. Used personal vehicle. Not a truck I purchased or leased exclusively for business use.

Resolved Question: How to keep a mileage log? For a self employed courier driver.....?

Hi I'm a self employed courier driver. I use my car for personal and business use. I charge £1.10 per mile. I've been asked to keep a mileage log for the 40p/25p per mile allowance. However I often give my customers a discount when doing multiple deliveries in neighbouring/on route areas. For example:- Drop 1. Nottingham To Sheffield = £45.10 (41 miles) Drop 2.Sheffield To Chesterfield = £13.30 (24 miles) As you can look drop 1 was charged at £1.10 X 41 miles. However as Chesterfield is on the way back down I didn't charge £1.10 per mile, I gave a discount rate. Now my question is....On my mileage log what would I put for drop 2? Would I put 24 miles, because that's the distance I drove? Or would I divide the amount I charged (£13.30) by £1.10? Which gives me 12.09miles? Thanks

I am interested to buy some items from India, particularly some school supplies for retailing or tiny supply business in the Philippines. Since I plan to purchase/order only in tiny quantities, it would fit into a box around half a size of a balikbayan box. I am starting a online business, supplying plumbing heating electrical items to retail and trade customers. I have a central warehouse with stock from where customers can collect. How do I deliver the items nationally? I have an account with FedEx but they have weight and size restrictions! I was also looking at a way where I could receive items collected from my suppliers, and delivered to my customers without handling the goods. 7 days normally mean 7 business days, but the e-mail i received from JB HiFi didn't specify it. And when i checked JB's working schedule, it says they work from Mon to Sun. So in this case, do 7 days just mean a week? And the e-mail also says 'then allow another 2-5 business days for metro courier delivery and 3-7 days for regional areas'. What does that mean? If the item is from Melbourne to Perth, how long will it take. It used Google Earth to estimate, it needs about 2 days. Can anyone tell me what the estimated time is? I have purchased a domain name, email services and a website is currently below construction however I need to understand: -How the payment works to the brands..eg if I buy bulk from them will the profits then be mine to keep or will they insist on commission or a fixed percentage on each item sold or in other terms do I pay up front for goods or trade on a credit basis? -How I go about organising delivery to my consumers eg. private courier/royal mail and how the costs will be calculated and paid. Also clip off points for next day delivery and fixed delivery dates? -Which department/job role of an individual within the brands themselves is responsible for trade and business activity and therefore would be the best source to contact? -How online transactions work/How the website can be inter linked with my bank account and how to go about paying taxes? -What legal restraints would I have to consider and which legal expenses/licensing do I have to consider before I start to trade? -How we would go about pricing our products; would it be dependant on the brand we are trading with (would they set an initial price) or would we have license to alter the RRP. Resolved Question: 1099MISC and deductions filing?

My husband is consider an Independent contractor for a Courier Business and is issued a 1099 MISC, he is responsible for gas, maintenance, etc for the van that he uses. We normally claim every deductions and receive a decent amount back. without claiming any deductions we receive more back after I did a dummy tax return. Do we HAVE to claim any deductions? He barely worked this yr.

Hi there, Ok in a few months I am planning on opening my possess business in selling non branded headphones, Tablet pcs, watches, phone cases, wallets, etc... and I just have a few questions. I have a store on Ebay that sells tthe items over, doing ok so i want to expand it... I receive my stock from China and I only pay fees (Not a lot of money in every fairness) to EMS (A china courier) Now what i am wondering if what fees would I have to pay if I wanted to import a big quantity of watches, headphones etc...?
